On my way to heal – A Painting Born from Grief and Inner Shifts
This painting emerged in the weeks following a personal loss – someone deeply dear to me. In the wake of that grief, something shifted. Old wounds reopened, and memories I hadn’t fully processed rose to the surface.
I don’t usually work spontaneously, but this piece came together differently – with fluidity and urgency. It wasn’t the beginning of a healing journey, but a deepening of one. A moment where pain, memory, and transformation found form through watercolor.
The painting carries the emotional texture of that time – grief, quiet anger, softness, and a kind of strength that reveals itself only in surrender. It’s a work that holds space for everything that couldn't be spoken – and for the slow becoming that follows.
This piece is part of a larger, ongoing unfolding. There may not be a clear end – but through creating it, I felt something shift. Very gently. Art helps me move through it, again and again.
