This piece still holds a special place in my heart. Hawkmoth marked a quiet but powerful turning point in my journey as an artist – and as a person.
It was a moment of rebellion – not loud, not dramatic, but deeply felt. A way of standing up to all the voices, both internal and external, that told me to be something else. Creating it was a return to myself, a reclaiming of my path and my way of seeing the world.
Looking back, this painting feels like the point where I fully began trusting my own language – soft, surreal, emotional – even when it didn’t follow expectations.
Hawkmoth became a symbol of transformation for me. A reminder that change can be gentle and fierce at the same time.
